ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the "Internet + nursing service" model based on the nurse-patient safety needs, and provide reference for development of "Internet + nursing service".Methods:The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yatsen University established a "Internet+ nursing service" management team in December 2019, developed an information platform, formulated and implemented a specific plan of the "Internet+ nursing service" model, including service objects, service projects and service modes. After the smooth operation of this model, the statistics of the nursing service projects and service times that had been carried out from September 2020 to March 2021, as well as the satisfaction of 21 patients who received nursing services would be counted. Results:From September 2020 to March 2021, 21 patients were provided with 55 on-site nursing services, and 151 operations in 16 projects were completed. No nursing-related adverse events occurred. The patients gave all five-star evaluations to the door-to-door service, the satisfaction score was 5 points, and the overall evaluation was 99.88 points. Conclusions:The pilot work of "Internet + nursing service" based on the nurse-patient safety needs has met the care needs of discharged patients and the safety needs of door-to-door services, guarantee the safety of nurses' door-to-door service effectively. And it provides reference for the development and improvement of "Internet + nursing service" related safety work in tertiary A-level hospitals.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of continued nursing on postoperative outcomes of discharged patients with chronic suppurative otitis media. Methods Toally 198 discharged patients were randomized into the control group (n=98) and the observation group (n=100).The patients in both groups received normal health education and additionally the continued nursing was used in the observation group for health education by way of phone call follow-up,on-the-spot consultation and QQ consultation. The mastery of related knowledge and skills, incidence of secondary tympanic membrane and readmission rate were compared. Results Six months after discharge, the observation group was significantly better than those the control group in the mastery of related knowledge and skills (P<0.05).The incidence of secondary tympanic membrane perforation was not statistically significant between the groups(P> 0.05).The readmission rate at the second week and the third week between the two groups had no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05).However,the readmission rate at the first, second, third and sixth month were statistically different (P<0.05).Conclusion Continued nursing to the postoperative discharged patients with chronic suppurative otitis media can improve the follow-up rate after discharge and self-nursing capacity, and as a result promote their recovery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of nutritional guidance on the energy intake and body weight of patients with gastric cancer chemotherapy. Methods The experimental study was used to study the 144 cases with gastric cancer for the first time of chemotherapy. They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, 72 cases in each group. Routine healthy guidance was used in the control group, while the patients in the experimental group were treated by the nutrition prescription, the nutrition guidance, the purpose and the significance of the chemotherapy, and the follow-up of the patients after discharge. The body weight of patients was collected before chemotherapy, and the dietary questionnaire was used for second days after first days of dietary intake, and the changes of energy consumption and body weight were compared between the two groups. Results The mean values of energy intake within 24 hours in the first 3 days after the chemotherapy in the experimental group was 5 068.92 kJ, which was 51%of the RNI. The mean values of energy intake within 24 hours in the first 3 days after the chemotherapy in the control group was 3 439.25 kJ, which was 38%of the RNI. The difference between the two groups was significant (P<0.01). The weight of patients in the experimental group at the time point of before the 5th and 6th time of chemotherapy were significant higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Energy intake had influenced the patients′weight, high energy intake with low decrease of body weight. Conclusions Nutritional guidance can effectively improve the energy intake of patients with gastric cancer when chemotherapy, so that the weight remained stable during chemotherapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of nursing instruction on the compliance of patients with gastric cancer after chemotherapy. Methods Selected 144 patients who had underwent surgey for gastric cancer after the first chemotherapy from May 2013 to December 2014. Randomly divided into experimental group and control group, Health education for patients in the control group during the period of hospitalization and before discharge. Follow up the implementation of the first chemotherapy after the first follow-up nursing guidance. Patients in the experimental group on the basis of the implementation of the whole process of continuing nursing guidance, including the increase in the duration of hospitalization, nutrition education, nutrition, prescription and adverse drug reaction to respond to chemotherapy. After each chemotherapy, the telephone follow-up was carried out to guide the treatment of nutritional intake and adverse effects of chemotherapy, emphasizing the importance of chemotherapy. The chemotherapy compliance of the two groups were compared. Results The median number of chemotherapy in the experimental group was 6, while that was 4.5 in the control group, the difference was statistically significant, Z=2.672, P=0.008. The adverse reaction was the main reason for the loss of patients with chemotherapy, the drop rate in the control group because of adverse reaction of chemotherapy was higher than that of in the experimental group, χ2=3.973, P=0.046, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions Due to serious adverse reactions in patients with gastric cancer after operation, chemotherapy confidence needs to be strengthened. The whole process of continuous nursing guidance is conducive to the patient′s chemotherapy confidence, improve the patient's chemotherapy compliance.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the impacts of different therapies on medical and physical health of breast cancer patients and put forward the measures for health education. Methods The MOS 36 items short form health survey (SF-36) and a self-designed questionnaire on general data were designed to investigate 93 breast cancer patients with different therapies. All of them had undergone surgery and were divided into two groups as in the following: 21 receiving only surgery were set as only surgery group, 51 receiving surgery plus chemotherapy as another group, 11 of them receiving surgery plus radiotherapy as another group and 10 receiving surgery plus chemotherapy and radiotherapy as the last group. Results There were significant differences between all the groups in terms of the score on physical health ( P<0 . 05 ) and so it was with the only surgery group and the surgery plus chemotherapy group (P<0.05); the surgery plus chemotherapy group and the surgery plus chemotherapy and radiotherapy group (P<0.05). There were significant differences among all the groups in terms of the score of mental health (P<0.05) and so it was with the comparison among the surgery group and surgery plus chemotherapy and radiotherapy group (P<0.05). Conclusions The patients who have surgery plus chemotherapy and radiotherapy are in poor condition physically and mentally. Health education should focus on improving the general and physical health. So we should understand the effect of different therapies on patients physically and mentally. In this way, we can individualize the health education and help the patients with breast cancer to live in a better mental and physical condition.
